The Lions Club Scholarship celebrates students who demonstrate outstanding school, community, and leadership service and who represent the Lions Club motto "We Serve"
Key Scholarship Facts:
Two (2) Scholarships valued at $1500 each (one time award) will be awarded
Each Application received will be reviewed by the Diamondhead Lions Club Scholarship Committee and two (2) winners will be selected
The reviewers will evaluate the applicants based on achievements in the areas of school, community, and leadership service
Applications will be available starting immediately. An application can be printed from the attached files below or students may receive one by contacting school counselors at Lakeside, Magnet Cove, and Malvern schools and/or by contacting the Lions Club Members listed below.
Applications must be turned in by April 1st, 2023 to the email below
Award recipients will be notified via phone/email on April 9th and will be formally awarded their scholarships on April 18th at 6pm at the Diamondhead Lions Club May Meeting at the Diamondhead Clubhouse
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a current high school senior with plans to continue your education (college and/or trade/technical school)
Must be a resident of the Diamondhead Community
Must submit an essay demonstrating outstanding school, community, and leadership service (see application for more details)
Must have a minimum of one (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor
Must submit all application materials via email or in-person to the Diamondhead Lions Club Scholarship Committee by April 1st.
