| Lake Catherine
Located on beautiful Lake Catherine, Diamondhead and the lake itself share one thing in common. Both are the result of people that had big dreams that came true.
Lake Catherine was born in the 1920’s with the construction of Remmel Dam to generate hydroelectric power for a rural Arkansas area. This beautiful clear water lake, with almost 1940 acres of water, is located only minutes from the cities of Hot Springs and Malvern. Starting with Remmel Dam and Lake Catherine State Park on one end and going to Carpenter Dam and Entergy Park on the other end, the lake meanders through the Ouachita Mountains.
A notable benefit of living in Diamondhead is the absence of prevailing winds. The breath-taking reflections seen off the normally calm lake waters, especially in the autumn season, are a perfect setting for the ultimate photograph or painting.
